CHRISTMAS PARTY AT NUNDLE

Well today was the day of our Christmas Lunceon, held at Mt. Misery Mine Cafe in the heart of the old gold rush town at Nundle.  We started the morning at Cottage on the Hill, and the lovely Kerry had organised for us to make Snowmen.  We had a morning tea of lovely rich chocolate assorted items.  White chocolate with crushed mint candy canes, yummy, and a lovely Rocky Road Christmas Tree, now that was good!!! (Thanks to Sharon for the Christmas Tree and Kerry for the other goodies.)  We then drove to the Cafe where the most popular lunch seemed to be the Chicken Schnitzel, potato gems and salad.  Other lunches included, Salt and Pepper Squid, Flathead Fillets, Ham, cheese and pineapple melts, tempura battered prawns.  It was such a hot day that we drank litres of water, yes water, no alcohol.  Here are a few photos of the day.  The temperature reached  nearly 40 degrees Celcius today which is about 105 degrees Fahrenheit.

Vicki is getting married on Saturday so we all made a 12-1/2" block in mainly whites, creams, gold and Kerry joined them all.  Thanks Kerry!!

Here are some ladies with their gifts

Betty (our oldest sewer) with her gift

This mum to be (1st), received a lovely Teddy

Here is a photo of me with my lovely cushion made by Trish, thanks, I just love it

Finally here is a photo of Ros and the gift I made her

Well ladies I hope your day was as good as mine.  Maybe we should do this again at a Christmas in July.   We missed you TRUDI!!!!  Hope the back is feeling better.

'til next time
